ThankYou

Hello! Welcome to the Paddy Runs for Boston website. Glad you stopped by!  You should be aware, however, that the campaign came to a successful close on February 8th, 2015.  If you'd like to support the Hoyt Foundation, that's great!  A link on the "Donate" page will take you directly to their site.

Raising money to help the Hoyts was a singular honor and I'm very proud of what we accomplished.

Nil Desperandum!

Boston has been good to me.  After what happened at the marathon, I want to be good to Boston.

To that end, I've started this fundraiser to benefit Team Hoyt.  What is Team Hoyt, you wonder?  It's these guys:  (Yes, it starts as a coffee commercial.  Keep watching....)

I'm Patrick Toon, an actor living in New York City.  After moving here from the Midwest, I flirted with running for nearly a decade, heading out for a lap around Central Park whenever the mood struck me.  I got serious, however, in January of 2010.  Seeing the devastation and suffering wrought by the earthquake in Haiti, I put the word out to my friends that for every dollar they donated to relief, I would run a mile.  I'd hoped to raise $300 and run my first marathon.  Me and my big mouth....

Runs For Boston

Yeah, it's this guy.

Dick and Rick Hoyt compete to raise money for the Hoyt Foundation, a non-profit that seeks to improve the character, confidence and self-esteem of people with disablilities by promoting their inclusion in sports, community life, and schools.  We're going to help them out with that.

So here we go, friends.  Let's see how much good we can do before April.  Explore the site, learn more, and if you're inspired, donate!  There are even ways to help that won't cost you anything!

They say the journey of a thousand miles begins with the first step, so here we go....

See you at the finish line!
